We are now accepting applications for Fresh 2016!

Fresh is our annual showcase of youth dance from across Yorkshire. This year it is taking place at CAST in Doncaster on the 26th March 2016. Fresh is part of U.Dance, a national celebration of performance by young people.

Young at Arts

The LEAF Partnership – Leeds Grand Theatre & City Varieties, Northern Ballet, Opera North, Phoenix Dance Theatre, West Yorkshire Playhouse & Yorkshire Dance – presents YOUNG AT ARTS.

The two-year project is part of Time to Shine, a six-year programme delivered by Leeds Older People’s Forum and funded through Big Lottery Fund Ageing Better.

Time To Shine takes a city-wide approach to addressing the social isolation of older people. The LEAF partnership’s Young at Arts will create social opportunities through culture and the arts… Continue reading here.


In January 2015, Yorkshire Dance teamed up with University of Leeds and Public Health Leeds to deliver Dancing In Time.

The project, taking place in three areas across Leeds, aims to provide new dancing activity for older adults who have little access to dance, researching the impact of dance on the health and wellbeing of older adults.
