Fostering Dance Project

Leeds Abbey Dash

On Sunday 15 November, whilst most of you are drinking coffee and enjoying a relaxing autumnal morning, members of staff from Dance Action Zone Leeds – DAZL, Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Yorkshire Dance will be limbering up, popping on their trainers and running 10K to raise money for Fostering Dance as part of Leeds Abbey Dash .

We are raising money to support looked after children and young people gain to access dance classes. The donations would give children aged 10 – 18 years the opportunity to access a variation of dance styles from contemporary, ballet, street, hip hop and cheer dancing. The money would pay for weekly classes or summer courses, plus an amount towards travel support.

If you would like to support this cause then please go to our BIG GIVE page and donate.

Access to the arts is known to have a lasting and transformational effect on communities and many aspects of people’s lives. Fostering Dance will support looked after children and young people in Leeds to access a dance provision at no financial cost to their carers.

Please feel free to forward and share this over social media, via email or on your blogs as this will really help! Pass on to any of your contacts who maybe able to support this work.

Many thanks, the DAZL, NSCD & YD teams
