Adult Community Learning

Free Specilaist Dance Classes

Free dance classes for adults with learning disabilities, elderly people and parents with young children are available at Yorkshire Dance. These are funded by Leeds City Council Adult and Community Learning and are held on a weekly basis at the centre.

Performances

Dansopolis

Dansopolis is a celebration of local and international youth and community dance, which has taken place at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Yorkshire Theatre Royal and Lawrence Bately Theatre in Huddersfield. Local groups that have performed include Transendance, Katie's Top Tappers, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Breakers Unify, Momentum, Suga Brown, Dimension, Hype Youth Dance, 2nd Stance and Northern Ballet Theatre.

Winter Platform

Each December Yorkshire Dance puts on the Winter Platform, giving those who participate in courses and classes the chance to perform to their friends and family.
