Yorkshire Dance presents their annual showcase of solo performances, celebrating the diverse art of having something to say and a unique way of saying it.

Johnny Autin (Autin Dance Theatre) performs Taksim Square Reloaded – poignant, energetic dance theatre inspired by the Arab Spring demonstrations, this year’s popular protests in Turkey and the violent clashes with the riot police in Ankara and Istanbul.

Manchester-based artist Hannah Buckley presents Woman with Eggs, a solo about women’s ability to be many things.

Ella Mesma’s Ecdysis is inspired by the Chakana, an Andean symbol of the Incan civilisation, and by Ella’s own experiences as a dancer, a person of mixed heritage, a woman.

In Joshua Hubbard’s Monochrome to Colour, black-and-white has never been so colourful…

Yorkshire Dance New Associate artist, Sophie Unwin, presents a work in progress, The Chronicles of Joy.
