Bradford Dance Network gains funding to support ‘Exchanges’

Yorkshire Dance is delighted that the Bradford Dance Network has been successful in gaining investment from Arts Council England in an exciting new venture supporting artistic exchange and collaboration.

The Bradford Dance Network has been supported with Programmes Director Hannah Robertshaw as part of continued efforts to strengthen regional dance development.

Exchanges, funded through Grants for the Arts, will unite 6 professional dance artists from Bradford in a peer to peer exchange and choreographic lab under the mentorship of Vicki Igbokwe.

The artists will co-deliver three outreach projects with local community groups creating new choreographic work with children and young people from diverse communities.

Artists will develop a monthly dance lab to enable creative exchange and artistic development for local professionals interested in exploring choreographic content through a collaborative process.

The culmination of both outreach and choreographic lab will be celebrated at the iconic Alhambra Theatre in a day of dance co-produced by members of Bradford Dance Network.
