Yorkshire Dance is delighted to be working in partnership with Trinity Leeds. In 2015 we aim to work together on a variety of projects which aim to engage Trinity shoppers in a spectacular of experiences, be it through creating choreography, participating in a performance and watching dance.
The first project kicks off on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January when we are presenting the record-breaking interactive dance performance The Dance WE Made.
Tim Casson will be in Trinity Leeds shopping centre working with members of the public in devising choreography and creating dances together. These newly created dances are then performed to the public, filmed and posted online for the world to see!!
In order to engage our local dance artists Tim is working with Rachel O’Neill, Ellen Turner and Bobak Walker on the first phase of The Dance WE Made. The three artists will work with Tim from Friday (24 Jan), observing his approach to delivering this project and will then have their own chance to try out their new skills on Sunday in Trinity Leeds.
In June we will embark on a larger scale version of the project in which Tim will work with five community dance groups who currently work with Yorkshire Dance in creating a flash mob version of The Dance WE Made. The project will be in residence at Trinity Leeds from the 1– 6 June.
