At the beginning of 2016, Yorkshire Dance appointed Callum Holt as our new Artistic Programmes Assistant.
Callum – who has an MA in Critical & Cultural Theory (English Studies) from University of Leeds – has been supporting Creative Producer Kirsty Redhead, and providing project management, coordination and administration support for our artistic programme.
He has taken a leading role in the management of artists’ residencies and sharings of their works-in-progress, in the running of our Collective Membership for artists, and in the planning of our first major individual giving campaign, Spirit of Juncture, to be launched later in the spring, for which he’s currently planning a fundraising open mic event.
He’s also contributed a huge amount to the planning and delivery of our Friday Firsts performance programme for 2016.
We are delighted to have been able to extend his time with us, originally planned to finish in April, until the end of November.
This means that Callum will be able to play a significant role in the management of Juncture, our festival of contemporary dance curated by Gillie Kleiman, at the end of October, and we’re very pleased that we – and the festival – will benefit from his remarkable talent, energy and commitment.
