Yorkshire Dance is inviting proposals from dancemakers who are interested in engaging with multiple audiences through critical feedback during the making of a new work.
Recruited groups of dance and non-dance audiences will be introduced to Liz Lerman’s renowned Critical Response Process (CRP) and will use this to respond to your work in progress via a dynamic digital platform.
These commissions present an exciting opportunity to work with new, innovative technology to enable participants to interact directly with you, the artist; share their feedback and interpretations of your artistic ideas and work-in-progress; and exchange their ideas with others in an online space.
Six artistic ideas, for a short 10-20 minute work, will be selected by a panel of experts and will be put to a public vote, the two receiving the most votes will receive the full commission of £8000 (inclusive of VAT). In addition five weeks of studio space at Yorkshire Dance (or elsewhere) will be available to support your work in development. All six short-listed candidates will benefit in the form of a small fee and invitation to a one day digital content/film development workshop at Yorkshire Dance on 9th February 2014.
