Yorkshire Dance is still growing!
In August, Sophie Inkster was welcomed as the new Marketing and Development Intern, hired to support Antony Dunn in the marketing team for 8 months.
Yorkshire Dance has recruited an intern in order to offer a development opportunity as a ‘springboard into further employment in the arts sector’. Sophie is a recent graduate from Lancaster University, and her love for all things dance- and arts-related, along with her keen interest in the marketing world, means she feels the opportunity will truly expand her prospects in her future career.
Sophie has just finished her first publication, the Dance in Leeds & Yorkshire brochure, which can be found online. She will also be assisting in the marketing of events and projects happening during her time here, for example Respond_ which is Yorkshire Dance’s new digital adaptation of Liz Lerman’s Critical Repsonse Process, and Dance Visions 2014, our annual youth dance conference, taking place this year in York, on Fri 7 Nov.
Sophie is working full time and really enjoying the experience so far. She is very grateful to Yorkshire Dance and the Creative Employment Programme for the opportunity.
Yorkshire dance is also pleased to announce we are looking to recruit a Fundraising & Development Manager – an exciting new role which will have a hugely positive impact on the work of the Yorkshire Dance team. This role could earn as much as £28k, and be the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Yorkshire Dance.
