Yorkshire Dance welcomes two new paid interns

by antonydunn on January 23, 2014

Having appointed Danielle Byars as our paid Youth & Community Intern back in August 2013, it’s with real pleasure that we announce the addition of two further paid interns to the Yorkshire Dance team. Please welcome Katie Roberts, Marketing & Development Intern, and Lisa Clayton, Juncture Intern.

Katie RobertsKatie will be working on marketing campaigns for Fresh 2014, Juncture 2014 and the Friday Firsts performance programme, and she’s already flexing her (advanced) design skills on the forthcoming Dance in Leeds & Yorkshire brochure.

She will also be supporting the company’s fundraising activities, and will be with us for six months.

Lisa Clayton (c) Brian SlaterLisa, who was a volunteers for our inaugural Juncture festival in 2012, returns as the Juncture Intern for 2014. She will support the administration and event management of the festival, working closely with Kirsty Redhead and Hollie Harkness-Gowers.

These paid internships, funded by the Creative Employment Programme (in turn funded by Arts Council England), provide new routes into arts administration and enable us to invest in new talent.
