The Dance Register is a database of dance teachers, leaders and artists working across the UK. It has been developed by leading dance development organisations (DTAP), to champion and promote high quality dance teaching and leading.

Instant Dissidence in Print
The work of Bradford-based conceptual choreography company Instant Dissidence has been increasingly attracting the attention of performance writers.

Lins Wilson is an established Leeds based musician offering original and exciting composition pieces ideal for dance, theatre, film and animation and other interdisciplinary arts. He mainly writes and records on cello, specialising in strings work, be it beautifully epic or subtle and abstract.
Lins can offer bespoke, professionally written and recorded piece of music, specific to the dancer’s needs.
Having a background in visual and performing arts along with 19 years of playing music, he understands how a piece of music needs to fit with a dance and it’s concepts and emotions. Lins also has access to a wide range of professional musicians / artists, and regularly collaborates with musicians Paul Marshall (Lone Wolf), Owen Brinley (Grammatics/Dept. M) and Jon Foulger (Duels).
Projects include – recording on Internationally acclaimed actor and director, Nejib Belkadhi’s most recent film ‘Bastardo’, completing a 7 minute cello/beats piece for Bristol-based Rise Youth Dance (who recently competed at U.Dance), completing his own 10 track album of cello and vocals, writing cello piece for illustrator Jack Hudson’s animation ‘Wilhelm the Maker’, amongst a huge variety of live and recorded work for producers and bands.
Prices are all reasonable and negotiable depending on the needs of the project.
Lewis Foster – Music Composer and Producer
Lewis Foster is a Leeds-based composer/producer providing original, commissioned music and recording services to the arts & media community. After having studied at Leeds College of Music, Lewis has worked on records with numerous groups & artists from the Leeds music scene and has composed music for a variety of clients such as University of Leeds Contemporary Dance Dpt and Virgin Media.

IADMS Teachers Bulletin
A new educational outreach programme for dance teachers, which is being initiated by the Education Committee of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science. IADMS is a worldwide organisation of medical and dance professional, dedicated to enhancing the health, wellbeing, training and performance of dancers, by cultivating educational, medical and scientific excellence.
The Bulletin for Teachers is a new publication for the worldwide dance education community, applying dance medicine/ science theory and research to practical problems in dance education, dance training and dance performance. It addresses issues of concern to teachers of amateur, pre-professional and professional dancers across the age span. The articles identify practical teaching problems and present scientific knowledge that may enlighten teaching practices. The Bulletin is published quarterly and distributed free via an online database.

Creative Arts Village, 5 minutes’ walk from Shipley Town Centre, includes two newly built, light and airy rehearsal studios available for hire. Both studios are suitable for Dance, Acting Rehearsal, Music Rehearsal and Green Screen use.
Both studios have sprung floors and lead on to a dedicated “break out” relaxation area, with comfortable seating and access to vending machines and restroom facilities. Basic hire rates are inclusive of the use of these attractive facilities, all newly built within the recently developed heritage mill complex.
Large Studio (9m x 9.5m): £25 per hour | half day (max 4 hours): £90 | full day (max 8 hours): £170
Small Studio (7.5m x 6.5m): £20 per hour | half day (max 4 hours): £70 | full day (max 8 hours): £135
