Robert Shield has been dancing Lindy Hop since 2005.  A confident teacher, choreographer and performer, he is instrumental in the UK Lindy scene, and runs a not-for-profit organisation called ‘Lindy Fridays’, which meets in Leeds City Centre and provides weekly classes for both beginners and improvers.

Rob also facilitates a charity event every December called ‘Lindy at The Light’, where over 60 dancers from numerous cities come together in Leeds to raise money for the NSPCC.

He has choreographed a number of pieces for shows around the region, and has taught workshops both in the UK and abroad, in addition to running private lessons to improve people’s dancing. As well as Lindy Hop, Rob has experience in Balboa, Blues, and Jazz and is currently studying Tap dance.

An enthusiastic teacher and performer, he is always willing to take on new pupils and to continue to help grow the UK Lindy Hop scene.
