Rachael O'Neill's Any Part of You Will Do (c) Lara WardThis is Where It’s At showcases work in development which has had considerable research and development and which is ready for its next phase of testing with an audience.

It is a chance to see choreographers delve into a deeper process of investigation and making, and witness the process of ideas taking shape through form, structure and movement language.

Among the works will be Ella Mesma’s Ladylike. Madonna? Witch? Exotic Other? Ladylike is an exploration of gender stereotypes through the voices of five female artists. Using Ella Mesma’s unique movement language, the company has combined Rumba, Afro Cuban, Salsa and elements of Breaking, Rocking and Capoeira to create a visually striking and awkwardly provocative work.

Rachael O’Neill presents Any Part of You Will Do. A collaboration with dancers Lara Ward, Tal Weinstein and Jessica Haener, it questions what happens to us when we become desperate for something or someone. Physically and emotionally, how far are we willing to go to achieve, to protect, to survive?

TOMBO(Y)LA, an ongoing research venture tracing and unraveling criss-crossing threads of embodied gender and sexuality by Amy Bell. Female masculinity, lady unlikeness, womanly boyishness for all their highly elusive and often problematic manifestations in dance, lie at the heart of the project. What does female masculinity even look like? Feel like? How does she move?
