About Us

Yorkshire Dance is leading a new initiative to develop youth dance in the Yorkshire and the Humber region with funding from Youth Dance England. To do this we are working with several partners. These partners are from right across the region and from all of the sectors who have an interest in youth dance.

Executive Summary: Youth Dance Business Plan 2009-2011

The sectors involved are: arts, sport, health, education and local authorities. Each of these sectors has been invited to participate in our 5 youth dance hubs and together we are working to deliver the strategic objectives in the regional youth dance business plan

These are:

• To establish and nurture a sustainable youth dance infrastructure for Yorkshire
• To improve and consolidate the regional offer to young people
• To improve, expand and develop the regional youth dance workforce
• To provide clear and improved regional progression routes for young people interested in a career in dance
